A community in the Kamonyi district of Rwanda lacks access to potable, running water. The nearest water source is a naturally occurring spring 2 km away. Untreated water use leads to high rates of disease, especially among children. The project would involve a gravity-fed water distribution system from the spring to a community of 3000 people, possibly using reinforced concrete catchment tanks to store water.
